When we moved to Waverly in 1992, I found that the Waverly Public Library was a wonderful place to take our children to story time, which was at the old location on Bremer Avenue. It was a great way to get them involved in reading and was also a wonderful way to meet others in the community. Now that we have grandchildren, we continue to encourage them to read books.

When I started working at the Eichhorn Haus at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, I realized that reading was also an important part of seniors' lives, too. The library was awesome to work with as they would loan out 20-30 books every two months to the Eichhorn Haus Library. They were great at getting books requested by residents and also getting the large print books for them to read.
