The thing that makes the Waverly Public Library so special is its community involvement and the memories it creates. The library is responsible for creating many amazing memories, whether it be the summer reading program events and cool prizes that accompany it, overnight lock-ins, eclipse viewing parties, iron chef competitions, water balloon fights, nerf battles, or even birthday parties. There's nowhere else in the local area that offers these events and builds a strong community among the participants.

I'm also fortunate enough to have been asked to serve on the Libraries Teen Advisory Board, which I've been a part of for a few years now. We meet monthly and plan different programs for the library, volunteer to help at these events, and just brainstorm on how we can improve the library in general. I appreciate that the amazing librarians strive to improve the community and ask for help from teenagers in doing so.
