Since moving to Waverly last year, the library has been a lifeline for our young family. It's a place where we immediately felt welcomed and was a starting point in getting us connected to the community. Beyond just books, it's a place to gather and socialize. My kids love to come here and play with friends in the children's area, and I can think of at least two families who are now good friends that we met at the library.

As for library resources that we utilize, there are so many! Books, DVDs, video games, board games, puzzles, magazines, museum passes, the butterfly garden and pond, and the Bridges app to name a few. The selection is excellent. The few times that we've haven't found what we're looking for, requesting new material was easy and always granted.

The children's programming is just the best. Book clubs and special events (magician, crafting) have been favorites of my older kids, while my youngest loves story time and sensory time. We all enjoyed the summer reading program and were here multiple times per week for elementary explorers and STEAM activities. The staff do a wonderful job of engaging the kids through fun events and activities, not to mention greeting them by name and always with a welcoming smile. I am amazed at the lengths they go to create great learning experiences for the kids. From patiently ironing perler bead creations for fifty elementary schoolers, to filling kiddie pools with water beads, sand, and rice for dozens of toddlers to have at it, these are the best of people. This library is staffed by people who love what they do, and it shows!
The library is our go-to place, and, judging by the amount of people we see there, many others feel the same way. It can feel crowded at times, especially at kids programs and after school. Reading through the plans for renovation and expansion, I'm looking forward to more space for all age groups so that the library can continue to provide top notch services in our growing community.
